My first short story, The Three Sunflower Seeds was published in What the Dickens? Issue 5, followed by The Bus from Burnt Oak in August. The Sequined Shawl, was published by r.k.vr.y in January 2013. Looking forward to hearing New Flavours read by Elizabeth Bowers on the Great Stories with Heart website next month.
I am currently working on a novel set in the early 90’s in North London. The novel is about Nicola, a young woman, who suffers from severe anxiety due to a tragic event in her past. She builds up a friendship with Ivy, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. As Nicola battles to free herself from her past, Ivy relives old relationships and experiences in an attempt to hold onto her memories. Nicola’s life becomes entwined with Ivy and her family, and together they struggle to maintain their independence. This is very much a work in progress.
I am also an OU Social Science tutor in the London region.

My photo was taken by Caroline Blunt. Despite a lot of laughing she managed to take a flattering picture!
